Me

Hello. I live in Eagle River, Alaska. I've lived in Alaska for just about ten years now. I'm a pilot for ConocoPhillips up on the North Slope, and work an alternating schedule of one week on, one week off. On my off time, I have lots of time to play. What with a house project and a boat project, this usually translates to spending time fixing and cleaning things.

Other stuff I enjoy doing includes rock climbing, mountaineering, bicycling, and photography. My new big kick is sailing, and I just got a sailboat this past summer, which seems to be doing a good job of helping dispose of all that extra cash lying around. See pictures of my latest toy on my Wing Song web page. I've also still enjoying all the opportunities for great hiking, mountain biking, and skiing all right around the corner...

Bio, sort of

Most of my years growing up were spent in Ridgecrest, CA. I graduated from Burroughs High School (in Ridgecrest) in 1985 and went on to UCLA, where I got my B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1990. After graduating, I moved back to Ridgecrest, where I worked up until the time I moved to San Jose in 1997. I moved up to Anchorage in the spring of 1999 to try out a flying job up here, and have lived here ever since.

More of the never-ending pictures

Someday, I might even update some of these to reflect stuff that's more current...

I read something a while ago that said that one's bookshelf can provide insights into one's character. I immediately looked at my own bookshelf to see if this was true. If you already think you know me, you can look at this and decide for yourself... (click on the image for more detail)
