Bruno is the newest addition to the M. Street household. Bruno is a Golden Retriever, and was born on Dec. 4th, 2001. He moved to M. Street when he was 8 wks old. His new big sister, Jip-Wiz, was a bit skeptical at first when he moved in, forcing her to share her limelight, but.. well, ok, she's still skeptical. But, little by little, they are gradually learning to share the limelight, and sometimes even their precious toys. (This has been helped along by Bruno's disappointing realization that noooo, Jip is NOT his mom.) Lil' Bruno is just now discovering the joys of chasing sticks, and finding that he likes flying with Arun. (Getting a little treat at the end of a flight doesn't seem to detract from that, either.) In his spare time, Bruno causes traffic jams of admirers (people as well as dogs) at the entrance to the New Sagaya City Market, where he waits patiently by the door for his housemates to hurry up and finish their mochas... 10 June 2002.
He is 6 months old now, and still getting bigger... 10 October 2002.
Autumn is upon Alaska, practically winter now, and little Bruno isn't quite as little any more. He is, in fact, a bit bigger than playmate Jip-Wiz - and he's still growing. It's been a summer full of new adventures for Bruno. He's made lots of new friends (dogs as well as people), he's romped through the wilderness all around Anchorage, and he's even been flying a few times. He enjoys regular runs down the Coastal Trail, with whatever housemate he can manage to attach himself to, and he and Jip-Wiz have settled into a familiar routine of "keep-the- stick-to-myself" and playful wrestling. Unlike many humans here, he doesn't seem in the least distressed by the new signs of impending winter all about. He even seems excited by the prospect of snow, which was, after all, all he knew for his first six months.
